The Model
Cogenerative Futures are on a mission to build power in communities and catalyse energy in both people and places by working together across all ages.
'Cogenerative' speaks to the heart of our approach: energy produced together. Just as cogeneration in engineering captures and uses energy that would otherwise be lost, we believe communities contain extraordinary capacity that goes untapped. Our work is about releasing that potential across all generations.
A core part of this work is supporting younger and older people in communities to become Cogenerators; equipped to imagine, explore, and shape the future possibilities of neighbourhoods and beyond.
To build informed, articulate communities where people, regardless of age, background, or lived experience feel empowered, we must invest in the sustained support that makes it possible.
That’s why we’re developing a Cogenerational Platform that removes barriers and equips people to thrive in their community.
The Platform
Physical Spaces
We provide access to multiple, well-equipped physical spaces where people of all ages can gather, connect, share ideas, and grow together.
Training
We provide training opportunities to ensure local skills match community needs, enabling people across generations to feel skilled and confident enough to take on challenges and become community leaders.
Funding
We provide accessible microgrants through a simple application process to help turn ideas into action. By getting projects off the ground quickly, Cogenerators can rapidly test and learn what works.
Networks
We develop and nurture partnerships with anchor organisations on the ground who can offer continued localised support and expertise.
